Biography

Mrs. Deepiga Kameswaran is currently Associate Professor at Faculty of Architecture at Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute. Professor Kameswaran has the following experiences in design studios: collaborative design studio, exploratory design studio, interdisciplinary studio, time bound design, exploratory design, experiential design and sustainability design studios. Mrs. Kameswaran’s pedagogy focuses in helping students to expand their horizons. To achieve this strategy she promotes competitive spirit to her students. Her direct and intense mentorship caused her students to win international and national competitions hosted by American Institute of Architects, Austin Chapter, Vinitaly - Associazione Appio Spagnolo, Delhi Development Authority, and Indian Green Building Council. Her enthusiasm in design oriented learning will help Design Olympiads attain a better reach in Asian geographic region. Her mentoring experience would further be symbiotic with the guiding principle of fair-play that Design Olympiads stands for.
